Interesting.
Last week the company's country exceitve said that  it had discussed with MMDA, the possibility of automating traffic systems to Metro Manila's thoroughfares, particularly that of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue.

While the Siemens heads stressed that the traffic systems in other countries tend to be similar to that of us here in the Metro, the traffic mangement is poorly practiced and thus synchronizing the traffic lights as well as installin CCTV in major streets is in the top of the agenda. Also to be included, should the project push through is the major rehabilitation of car park systems  as these contribute to heavy traffic in Makati, Mandaluyong, and Quezon City.

The good news: Though we know it all boils down to money, it's good to know Siemens is interested in solving our traffic mess.

The bad news is: It's actaully Siemens' initiative, not that of our very own government And Should this project puash ahead, expect "scandals", again.
