Beautiful. Fortuner in trouble?
Look at the Car, cover the badge with your thumb, and ask yourself what car this is. Most of you would think a Subaru or a Mitsubishi. Clue:from Korea , and it aint Hyundai . It's actually a Kia, again. Now I know most of you are surprised again but that's the reality . Kia's (and Hyundai too) designs are getting better and better. For Kia, they did hire Peter Shreyer , the legendary designer from Audi whose "surface" concept resulted to the likes of the A4, a6, TT.
As Kia's design director, Schreyer created the Schreyer grille. featured in most of today's Kia cars like this SOrento, Soul, Rio, and most of the concept cars they have in store for us.
NOw back to this baby. What's exciting about this new Sorento is the fact that it will be most certainly priced at par or just slightly above the Fortuner and Everest. While there is still a queueing demand for the Fortuner, most of car experts know that the Fortuner may be too a little "pick-up" to be considered as an SUV.
Sorento will absolutely bring a spice to the lcal (and even international) SUV market as it hits showrooms sometime expected to be in the 2nd or 3rd quartet of 2010. As the vehicle is in its final stage of development for mass production, all we have right now are pictures from its official release.
We at Carazine bet that Kia will be supplying it will CRDi engines, probably a 2.2 liter to 3 liter for the premium variant.
