New 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander Unveiled in Australia

    Looks can kill

The new 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander has been unveiled in Australia to replace the existing Outlander, which basically is still young. While the current Outlander sold here in Manila is similar to the chart topping model sold elesewhere in the world, Mitsubishi decided to gamble in its attempt to change every single car on its fleet with the trademark shark nose/ jet fighter grille. The new grille in the Outlander complemented by new hedlamps, front bumpers, side mirrors, bonnets and fenders. Since adopting the nose on the Mitsubishi Lancer, several Mitsubihsi cars have undergone a facial surgery--these cars include the  Lancer Evo, Colt and now the Outlander.

The Aussie Outlander will feature Hill Start Control also found in the 2011 Sonata  to automatic transmission models and Super All Wheel Control system.

There will be two variants for the SUV-- a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder gasoline that can propel with max 168 hp and a 3.0 liter V6 variant that generates 227 hp.

The good news: It will definitely come here. And we're contacting Mitsbishi Motors Philippines.
The bad news: With the current fleet of Mitsubishi Outlander sold here, a diesel--tubrocharged Common Rail is far from a reality.
