2011 Ford Mustang GT Kicks 500 horses from a 5 liter V8

No matter how companies try to keep their high profile cars' upgrades hidden, sometimes mouths cant be kep shut. Inside Line and Autoblog, which had already been tipped off under-the-table by FoMoCo, confirmed that the 2011 Mustang GT will get a new 5.0-liter V8 engine delivering a respectable 412 ponies. The new powerplant will replace the Neolithic 4.6-liter V8 unit with its pathetic -for an engine of this size and this era- output of 315-horsepower.

Ford's V8 makes 82.4 HP per liter, GM's V8 churns out 68.7 HP per liter and Chrysler's Hemi, 69.7 HP per liter!

Last November, Ford unveiled the 2011 Mustang with a new 3.7-liter six-cylinder engine producing 305-horsepower.

Ward's 10 Best Engines is an annual list of the ten "best" automobile engines available in the U.S. market, that are selected by Ward's AutoWorld magazine. The list was started in 1994, and has been drawn every year since then.

2010 Ford C Max Unveiled

 Surely can rival Innova in sales figures and kill Toyota's MPV monopoly

Official photos of the long-wheelbase version of Ford's all new C Max compact minivan circulated on the net today. Due to be revealed alongside the five-seat C-MAX at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Grand C-MAX gets a 150mm boost in length to make room for a third row of seats that can accommodate two more passengers, while Ford also equipped it with a pair of sliding doors at the back to provide easier access to the rear seats. The interior looks Focus-styled with hints of improvements such as an ultra-European styled dashboard and center console, from the looks of it it certainly is durable and great (More photos at the bottom of this post!)

Ford's new five- and seven seat MPVs are based on the underpinnings of the next generation Focus that is expected to be launched in 2010. Both models will be offered with the company's all-new EcoBoost 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine.

The image gallery also provides us with our first glimpse of the car's interior, with the dashboard (same for both MPVs) featuring a similar design language - though somewhat more cluttered, to the European market Mondeo. Unless Ford plans to surprise us, buyers should expect to see the same console sans a few minor changes, on the 2011MY Focus.

FoMoCo's new Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic rivals are scheduled to go on sale in Europe during in mid-2010.

The good news : Hearing a Seven 7-seater MPV that styled ala-Focus and will be powered by a economical 1600cc-2000cc engine can mean gives us the hope that it will be sold here in the country. Lets hope andkeep our fingers crossed!

A Great Leap: Group of Car Companies sign Letter of Understanding on Fuel Cell Vehicles

Fuel cell vehicles, electric vehicles, and hydrogen powered vehicles all have an electric motor that makes car run, the only difference is where and how the motors get the power.

Since the beginning car companies have planned,  developed, and designed their choice of their own system. We see Toyota going gaga over Hybrid, while Mitsubishi and Nissan-Renault is fanatic about an all electric-powered vehicle; add to it that Honda has released a lease only fuel-cell hydrogen vehicle. That's how unorganized car companies are. As a result we only see a few and expensive hybrid cars on our roads and showrooms. The Prius, for example has been around since 1997, an not much progress has been made with regard to its high cost of production. Hybrid cars sold today are basically unattractive since the price you pay for a hybrid engine will take years to recover the extra cost. So still, what we have right now is a conventional fossil-fuel (gasoline, benzene, diesel) vehicle domaqinated roads.

           Hydrogen stations like this is still not a common sight due to high cost of infrastructure.
 

A group of companies represented by western car makers Daimler Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Renault, and Asian superstars Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group, have announced they’ve signed a Letter of Understanding concerning the development and market release of fuel cell powered electric vehicles. The car companies aim that there'll be more than a hundred thousand units on the road by 2015.

Ford Philippines' sales up by 17% in August, thanks to new models

Keep if fresh. Cars are boring. Yes, cars are boring so keeping your car lineup and showrooms filled with freshly designed vehicles are the key for better sales. That certainly is the formula for success of Ford (Philippines). Since 2008 it has released fresh new models , namely: the Focus, Ranger Wild Trak, Explorer, Everest, E-150 Club Wagon, and the Expedition.

The new Ford Everest is the ocmpany's best seller with 324 units sold a month within its launch in June. This figure is 80 percent higher than the Everest sales in the same month last year. Finally, less Toyota Fortuner on our roads..
